The Emergency Powdered Oxygen system is intended to generate 99.7% pure oxygen for emergency first aid administration, prior to receiving professional assistance.

This is a lightweight, portable device that produces oxygen of greater than 99.7% purity by means of a chemical reaction. This reaction is initiated by pouring approximately 450ml of tap water into a 3-liter polypropylene cylinder into which 300grams of sodium percarbonate and 7 grams of manganese catalyst have been placed. A water chamber located in the neck of the cylinder, into which 50 ml of tap water is poured, humidifies the oxygen as it bubbles through the water on its way through the tapered orifice in the polycarbonate cap of the cylinder. A length of flexible ribbed PVC tubing connects the cylinder to a facemask for delivery of oxygen to the patient.

This light weight unit is an effective means of providing oxygen to a patient who does not require resuscitation.

Each unit consists of a nylon carry bag, a specially designed plastic cylinder with operating instructions and a built-in humidifier, 3 x 15 minute white powder applications plus 3 activator catalysts, a face mask with a 1.5 meter tubing and a water measuring bottle.  The total unit weighs a mere 2.3Kg.

  • It takes less than 30 seconds to activate this user friendly oxygen system, and delivers oxygen for approximately 15 minutes with an oxygen purity in excess of 99.7%.
  • If more oxygen is required, empty the residue and repeat the activating procedure.
The key feature of this system is that you don't have to depend on gauges to determine the amount of oxygen, as one can physically see how many 15 minute applications are available and there is no danger of the oxygen having leaked out while not in use.
  • Refill powder packs consisting of 4 x 15 minute applications are available which eliminates the cost and inconvenience of sending cylinders to be refilled.

  • Ideal for Dental Practices
  • Ideal for Sports Medical Professionals
  • Used by Asthmatic patients to Nebulize at home and on their travels.
  • Safe to be Carried on aircraft where pressurized cylinders are not permitted
  • Used in rural areas where refilling of conventional cylinders is not available.
  • Used by Scuba Divers worldwide after a normal dive.
  • In underground refuge chambers in all types of mines.
  • In high rise buildings and hotels where pressurized cylinders are not permitted, as part of disaster units.
